word "migraine" is translated as "ardhavabedhaka."
A migraine headache is usually an intense, throbbing pain on one, or sometimes, both sides of the head which often gets worse with movement, bright light and loud noise. The patients may experience redness, and burning in their eyes. About three out of four people who have migraines are women.

contraception and hormone replacement therapy and the associated changes in
hormones could be among the reasons women have more headaches than men do.

As in all
Ayurvedic treatments finding the root cause of any disease condition helps to
design proper treatment plan that brings in balance and harmony within the body
system. Ayurveda focuses on balancing the doshas. Imbalance of the three doshas
causes the symptoms associated with migraine. The treatment method includes dietary
changes, lifestyle modifications, Yoga along with various combinations of
herbal oils, massage and specially designed Panchakarma programs like Nasya,
Snehapana, and Virechana.
At Ayush, we
provide treatment plans that are customized as per individual patient conditions
and symptoms to treat and help complete recovery from the often debilitating
migraine headaches without any side effects.
